Chelmsford is a busy bustling town with plenty to do at all times of the day, whatever you're in to. Whether it be clubbing, rocking or just plain dancing you will always find something to occupy you.
Chelmsford is home to 2 shopping malls, High Chelmer and the Meadows, which have shops for every occasion, HMV, Waterstones, H&M, Burtons, New Look, Birthdays..... etc etc. And for the more adventureous shopper amongst you Lakeside and Blue Water are near by also.
For the over 18 students, Chelmsford is host to bars, clubs and pubs featuring all sorts of music, themed nights out so you can go out any night and have a ruddy good time!! There's Dukes, the club everyone tends to go to on a Monday or Thursday, Edwards, Que Pasa, Yates, The Basement, The Rocking Bay Horse, Smiths (Chelmsford's only 7 day a week gay bar), Chicago Rock (which hosts G-Sundays - the biggest gay night in Essex) which has music and food every night of the week, there's Bar Seven which is for over 21's, to name but a few.
Writtle is also home to a few pubs - The Wheatsheaf, The Rose and Crown, The Victoria and The Chequers, all which are favoured by students throughout the week.
